The Strategic Finance Analyst supports the Financial Insights Manager and takes ownership of specific tasks and initiatives within the Financial Insights team, which leads on bespoke and creative value-add projects supporting various areas of PRS. Primary responsibilities include Strategic Project financial analysis, serving as a finance business partner on special projects with monthly financial reporting requirements, Joint Venture financial reporting, Market Analysis, Finance support to Litigation cases and managing cost models such as Activity Based Costing, Cost to Serve and Cost to Distribute. |

Responsibilities
Financial Planning and Reporting:
- Responsible for tracking financials and business partnering relating to key strategic projects, providing financial assurance for the actual costs being reported and comparing these to the business case & budgeted costs
- Produces the monthly financial dashboards which provide insight and analysis of PRS Joint Ventures
- Support the analysis and evaluation of the Joint Venture Budgets and PRS’s expectations for the Joint Ventures financial performance
- Responsible for maintaining an external market analysis model, issuing quarterly updates to the Strategic & Commercial finance teams to support the PRS Budgeting and 5 year plan process.
Strategic Initiatives:
- Takes a lead role in maintaining the ABC (Activity Based Cost) model, Cost to Serve and Cost to Distribute models
- Working with PRS Legal to provide Finance support to current Litigation cases
- Supports the analysis of the performance of major initiatives within the Joint Ventures that PRS is funding
- Provides analysis for and inputs into Board Papers relating to PRS Joint Ventures.
Other:
- Works closely with other Finance teams to continually improve end to end financial processes and development of related systems
- Supports process improvement projects within the team to add greater value to analytical, planning and reporting processes.
About you
- Degree educated in a Finance / Economic / Maths discipline, and/or a desire to start or complete a professional finance qualification (study support available after completing six month probation period)
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills
- Excellent data gathering, reporting and analysis skills
- Numerate and analytical
- Good stakeholder management skills
- Problem-solving
- Excellent excel skills
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office.
