Aspire People are recruiting confident and adaptable Cover Supervisors to work in Secondary schools across Stonehouse and the surrounding Stroud district. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced classroom supervisors looking to build experience and make a real impact in local schools.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring pupils stay on task and engaged
Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and maintain a calm, positive classroom environment
Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
Support students with their learning and encourage active participation
Communicate with teachers and school staff regarding pupil progress and behaviour
Provide general classroom support and cover a range of subjects where required
Requirements:
Previous experience working with young people, ideally in a school or educational setting
Confident classroom presence and ability to motivate students
Strong communication and organisational skills
Reliable, flexible, and enthusiastic about supporting students’ learning
A passion for education and helping young people achieve their potential
