Learning Support Assistant

£12.83 per hour (salary is dependant on qualifications/experience)

The School and Role

Vision for Education is seeking a compassionate and adaptable Learning Support Assistant to support young people with learning difficulties and disabilities, including Cerebral Palsy and visual impairment. The schools also caters for children with Autism and Learning difficulties. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills to every interaction. The successful candidate will have a natural ability to build positive relationships, communicate effectively, and support students to flourish and grow.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Behaviour Support Assistant you will:

  • Must have valid driving license and own transport.
  • Essential: Comfortable delivering personal care.
  • DESIRED: Level 2/3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or Level 2/3 Early Years Educator
  • Desired: Have prior school experience working with young people with SEND.
  • Desired: Trained in Gastro, moving and handling.
  • To mentor and engage with the pupils, delivering specifically designed educational packages.
  • You will need to be passionate, empathetic and patient.
