Job summary

We have a Band 3 Generic Therapy Assistant role, hours per week available to join our Medical / Elderly Therapy Team.

We’re seeking a compassionate and organized Therapy Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support registered therapists in providing high-quality care to our clients, assist with therapeutic activities, maintain accurate records, and ensure a welcoming environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has excellent communication skills, and is passionate about making a positive impact on others’ lives. Working pattern for this role is Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for someone who is keen to learn, enthusiastic and committed to delivering quality care on the wards. Ideally you will have previous experience as a Therapy or Healthcare Assistant, however we welcome applications from a variety of backgrounds.

You will be responsible for ensuring IT based administrative tasks are completed on a daily basis and manage the provision of therapeutic equipment as required.

You will be supported in ongoing development and training. The role will involve at times taking responsibility for your own caseload and working alone.

    Education

    Essential

  • Educated to GCSE Level or equivalent. Maths and English at C or above – or equivalent qualification/demonstrable experience
  • Willingness to undertake relevant departmental training in order to achieve required clinical competencies
  • Desirable

  • Educated to NVQ 3 Level
  • Experience & Knowledge Require

  • Detailed understanding of the role of a Therapy Assistant
