You’ll be working closely with the Head of Reporting and Analytics to drive the overall Finance roadmap for reporting and analytics; delivering automation, rationalisation and decision orientated analytics.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Ownership of the delivery of future state finance reporting, analytics and planning landscape for the Food and Retail and Property finance divisions
  • Work closely with the Heads of Finance and senior managers of the accountable divisions to define, coordinate and deliver simplification
  • Uses industry knowledge with a strong grasp of the internal and external issues facing the business and uses this knowledge to deliver best in class reporting and analytics for finance
  • Collaborate with relevant teams to ensure smooth hand over of developments into business as usual and ensure strong governance and controls are in place
  • Programme management of overall demand and vision for reporting and analytics within the accountable finance divisions
  • Project management of individual solutions. Accountable for the delivery on new projects, preparing plans, coordinating resources, managing risks and issues and providing regular updates
  • Effectively conveys insights on strategic opportunities and challenges to internal business partners and influence key decision makers
  • Define resource requirements – work with the Head of R&A to remove blockers and forward profile resource capacity
  • Overarching resource management (Planning & Timings) to delivery of solution, including demand management in Jira (Project Management tool)
  • Lead requirements gathering for new reporting and analytics demand, making sure that these are consistent with the best ways of working for insight and reporting to drive decision making
  • Partner with our development team to analyse ideas and proposals from Finance Business partners, linked to financial and commercial reporting, making recommendations on how existing or new solutions can help
  • Collaboration with developers to document and confirm technical brief
  • UAT and Go Live co-ordination, tracking and sign off
  • Ensure implementation of support wrapper on new solutions
  • Coordinate business change in conjunction with business change champions

Key Skills:

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and provide transparency and structure
  • Strong industry knowledge of finance and data systems (e.g SAP/BPC/Microsoft Azure)
  • Strong industry knowledge of reporting and analytics solutions (e.g PowerBi / Business Objects 4.3)
  • Senior Project/Programme Management experience
