Smile Leadership Ltd are currently seeking an experienced SENCO for a Warwickshire based Primary school. This role is offered on a full-time, permanent basis to start as soon as possible. Candidates looking for a short-term, interim role may also be considered for an imemdiate start. Smile Leadership Ltd is a sister company to Smile Education who are a leading education recruitment agency and we are working on this post in an exclusive partnership with the school.We are currently supporting a 2 form entry Primary school in recruiting a SENCO. The job is a full-time, permanent post and will include some teaching responsibilities. In this job you will coordinate bespoke learning arrangements and requirements for pupils on the SEND register. Duties of the job will include:• Providing support to teaching and learning support staff• Using EHCPs• Chairing annual reviews• Designated Teacher duties (LAC)• Liaising with multi-agency teamsThe headteacher is open to receiving applications from either a secondary experienced SENCO who would like to transition into the primary sector or. This job will involve teaching pupils with SEND so you will therefore need to be patient, nurturing, resilient, as well outcomes. Ideally you would hold the SENCO qualification however candidates with significant SENCO experience will also be considered. Senior Leadership Candidates with a background in assessment and curriculum as well as good strategic understanding of SEND or Inclusion are also welcome to apply.To be successful in your application, you should have experience in one or more of the following:• Hold the National SENCO qualification (desirable not essential)• Substantial experience as an acting SENCO (without acquiring the qualification)• knowledge of Warwickshire, LA procedures• Exceptionally dedicated to supporting pupils with SEND• Primary, Secondary or SEND school experience in a similar SENCO role.Due to Covid-19 a flexible interview process is in place for this role.
