Responsible for managing a large team to deliver procurement, programme and stakeholder management support in line with business priorities for the hub or at site, coordinating development of demand forecasts, enabling value delivery cross-category and ensuring compliance, in order to meet the Service Level Agreements and Operational Level Agreements for procurement operations.

The Europe & Africa Customers procurement Senior Manager acts as the primary business interface to business partners in the Customer & Product business within the Europe and Africa region for M&C as well as globally for the Castrol business.

You and the team you lead, will be the procurement interface on a day-to-day basis with business partners, leading business management review meetings and appropriate market/cluster level business planning.


  • Single point of accountability to internal and external partners in the designated geography
  • Ensure day-to-day procurement operations are delivered including management and distribution, contract performance management, local content, and cost recovery of third party spend
  • Act as interface for Global Lubes business and M&C ESA with focus on UK/GY
  • Represent Procurement in senior partner meetings and act as escalation point
  • Build robust demand plans by partnering with the business. Improve the supply facing teams to develop strategies that build new value and enable supply chain solutions to deliver operationalised contracts to meet the business needs
  • Provide business, supplier and demand insight to supply facing teams to advise strategic direction
  • Build view for businesses/locations supported of the procurement and digital and talent value delivery plan, ensure alignment to the business and procurement planning cycles
  • Ensure purchasing channel and process compliance to category strategies and implemented contracts, intervening as the need arises to ensure maximum compliance with BP processes and category strategies in line with compliance plan
  • Integration of all procurement activities to provide efficient and effective delivery of goods and services in support of safe, compliant, and competitive operations
  • Lead direct line staff capacity to provide an agile and flexible service, identifying future resource requirements and feeding these into the global resource plans and resource priorities
  • Accountable for the business facing leadership agenda to drive operational excellence across the region
  • Development, management, and engagement of procurement talent in the designated geography
  • Set the tone for improved rigor in the management of ethics, risk and compliance
  • Support the objective to simplify and standard processes and reporting used globally and across all regions


  • Specialist practitioner in partner management, influencing and building support for Procurement
  • Specialist in Category Management, Sourcing, Contract management, Supplier management
  • Specialist in programme and project management
  • Procurement leadership experience within complex multinational project
  • Excellent written and oral English language skills


  • University degree in a technical or business field
