Looking to speak with experienced EDI professionals who can undertake project work that aids the EDI agenda, raises awareness of EDI issues and effects change through delivering excellent business service.This candidate will work with the senior management team to support and develop the EDI people strategies with a key focus on developing staff through training and guidance. Applicants will need to be equality specialists with a proven track record of implementing and tackling equality issues ideally within the public sector.Main Duties and Responsibilities * Manage the project work associated with the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion charters; for example, the Race Equality, Charter, Athena SWAN, Stonewall. * Support the planning, development and delivery of the Race Equality and Athena SWAN Charter submissions, including the action plan and providing organisational updates. * Collaborate on EDI work with others from across the University to ensure that plans are coordinated, progressed and delivered. * Analyse and report on data and MI to track progress against actions and plan further interventions, as necessary. * Deliver key objectives and milestones as required and maintain up to date knowledge and specialism in Equality, Diversity, Inclusion to drive a culture of high performance. * Offer confidential and expert guidance and support to the broader HR team on matters relating to Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Wellbeing. * Proactively raise EDI-related issues, taking ownership of the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion agenda.Essential experience: * Educated with a degree or a substantial level of experience in a field relevant to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion * An understanding of equality and diversity legislation, issues and good practice, including Equality Charter Marks qualification * Evidence of analysing and disseminating data through report writing * Digitally literate across a range of technologies, including but not limited to Microsoft Office with a focus on Excel
