So why not come and be amazing with Wilson James?We are looking for a Control Room Manager to be based in London.The Control Room Manager role is a key role within the business and is an integral part of the business’ national operation. Leading an established team the role will involve working alongside the controllers who manage scheduling, alarm reporting,and escalating emergency incidents across the National portfolio.The candidate will be able to demonstrate an ability to manage at a high paced level, be able to multi-task and delegate so that all duties and escalation reporting processes are completed within specific timeframes, set by SLAs.Main ResponsibilitiesManagement of the safety of staff who fail to check-in and book on. The Control Room Manager will be responsible for ensuring all check calls are managed through to completion with the correct escalation processes followed if staff cannot be contacted.Management of site resources. The Control Room Manager will be responsible for ensuring adequate cover for sites where an officer has called sick / will be absent from work and ensure the correct paperwork is completed and Site Managers informed. Payroll software will need to be reflected with the changes and correct absence diary eventsThe Control Room Manager will be responsible for keeping up to date with ongoing incidents and breaking news that may affect the wider business and report and escalate where necessary such as tube strikes, transport failures, protest incidents.Demonstrate a good understanding of site procedures and be able to identify where changes are needed, implement them and update site operational documents as required and ensure all staff on are trained on proceduresBe responsible for document control in line with Business accreditationEnsure site directories and databases are up to date to that escalation of incidents can be conducted in a real team.Ensure the escalation processes and actions databases are up to date for sites so that escalation processes can be followed according to SLAs set by Business Directors and Site ManagersManage, monitor, and operate the site security systems in order to obtain live data and escalate where necessaryBenefits Excellent training and development, SIA licence costs, annual leave entitlement, auto enrolment pension scheme, death in service benefitAdditional Information Shifts/Hours: Mon – Fri -45hrs pwSalary:£45k*Please note that if you’re a current employee of Wilson James, you must ensure you have informed your line manager of your application*Required Skills A minimum of 2 years proven management experienceAble to demonstrate management capability and achieving high standards in previous roles.Able to write and implement security plans and procedures.Able to demonstrate experience of data analysis focussing on statistics and figures ranging from crime, H&S and finance.Demonstrate the ability to think and act quickly in emergencies or under pressure.Maintain a high standard of personal presentation.IT literate and capable of using basic Microsoft packages to an excellent standard.SIA licence DS/CCTVDesirable Skills All security personnel are required to be vetted in accordance with Guidelines on Security Screening (BS7858) covering a period of five years. Failure to accurately and fully disclose work history may be detrimental to gaining employment with Wilson James.
