Our client in Abbotsham is looking for a confident administrator to join their existing team, to provide a comprehensive administration service for the school. Main Duties: To provide efficient and effective administration and clerical support services. To provide secretarial, typing, general computer/data input/retrieval services. Undertake receptionist duties, provide the first line contact between school and the community, and administer the school diary for events. To provide an effective and efficient mail and distribution service, for example, assisting with the preparation of the weekly newsletter, text messaging and email service. To maintain accurate administrative, financial, pupil, staff and other school records. To provide routine clerical support such as photocopying, filing and stationery issue. To maintain accurately the MIS and other record systems to support the central team in meeting the needs of the school, Trust and DfES. To maintain school dinner monies and registers using School Money. Liaise with the central school with regard to local school finance duties, ie school trip funds and ensure security of the funds including regular banking of cash and cheques. Liaise with kitchen staff re daily dinner numbers. Maintain list and issue car parking permits, nativity tickets etc. Support the head teacher with the organisation of cover for absences. Maintain staff absence records and complete reporting paperwork for the central team. Produce weekly registers for teachers. Maintain pupil attendance records and generate reports for persistent absentees. Complete necessary returns for the local authority and DfES including the termly school census. Generate standard reports. Liaise with the central team regarding requests for goods and services required, check against delivery notes. Maintain accurate pupil records, arrange transfer of pupil records when pupil arrive or leave the school, including preparation and transfer of CTF records. Complete routine Health & Safety checks for fire and legionella control. Liaise with the caretaker for minor repairs. Report any serious health & safety issues immediately to the premises manager. To undertake other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time commensurate with the grade of the post. Requirements: Clear enhanced CRB Check (will be carried out if successful) Good team worker Well organised Admin experience Good ICT skills to support use of email/website/admin systems   Hours: 35 hours per week Monday – Friday 8:30am – 16:00pm (term time only) Pay: £9.43 per hour  This is a temporary role but may lead to a permanent position.
