Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for the management of the day-to-day provision of the Cardiac MRI and CT services, ensuring the service is run in an efficient and effective manner and that patients are given appointments commensurate with the clinical needs.

The post holder will provide high profile Clinical Specialist support to the cardiac MRI and CT suites and to the Cardiac Imaging department. The post holder will liaise with departmental Superintendent Radiographers with respect to staffing and other resource issues and is responsible for the management of dedicated and rotational cardiac MRI and CT staff.

This service is key to operational priorities within the Directorate and as such, the post holder will be expected to interact with senior members of the hospital staff reporting and advising on service demands and delivery. The post holder will be expected to articulate knowledgeably and effectively on complex technical issues to all service users
