Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team based in Torquay. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a commitment to helping students succeed academically and personally.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the lead teacher in developing and implementing engaging lessons.
  • Provide individualized attention and support to students to help them achieve their academic goals
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love of learning
  • Assist with classroom management and behavior intervention as needed
  • Collaborate with other teachers and school administrators to support a holistic approach to student development
  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about student progress and areas for improvement
  • Use a variety of instructional techniques and technology to enhance student learning and engagement
  • Help students develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and other important life skills
