An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced physiotherapist to join our physiotherapy team delivering to the acute surgical areas in University Hospital Crosshouse: including our Intensive Care and Surgical High Dependency Unit, general surgical wards and paediatric ward.
As a senior clinician, you will be responsible for the delivery of highly skilled physiotherapy to acutely unwell patients, and the rehabilitation of patients recovering from surgery or critical illness. You will play a significant role in the planning and facilitation of complex discharges from the acute hospital setting whilst working closely with the other members of the multi-disciplinary team.
You will provide clinical and professional support to the rotational and healthcare support members of our team, and take an active role in the training and support of staff participating in our Out of Hours Emergency On call service, as well as practice-based learning for students.
Excellent communication, leadership, team working, organisational and time management skills are essential. An interest in service review and quality improvement is desirable. You must be HCPC registered and have relevant clinical experience in the acute hospital environment and in respiratory physiotherapy. Car owner/driver is essential, and participation in the evening and weekend Out of Hours on call rota is required.

This post is fixed for a period of one year to provide maternity leave cover.
