This school is looking to appoint an outstanding teaching assistant to support a class. You will share the school’s vision to help create an outstanding, fully inclusive primary school that ensures the needs of all children are met, as well as making a vibrant and meaningful environment for residents in the surrounding area.

You will be working with individual children and groups, under the direction of the class teacher, introducing tasks, and monitoring children’s work and using a range of strategies to support their learning. This role would be suitable for someone who may be interested in teaching in the future. The school has established career pathways into teaching and excellent development opportunities!

The ideal candidate:

As a teaching assistant, you will have had experience working with children in small groups and on an individual basis before

Have an understanding of behaviour management techniques

Be able to follow instructions given by class teacher as well as using your own initiative when needed

Have a warm and friendly personality

As a teaching assistant you will be able to communicate with children effectively

You will need to be familiar with safeguarding procedures and be willing to undertake training (through the school)

Have a wonderful sense of humour and a kind heart!
