Due to internal promotion we are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, positive band 5 nurse to join our small and supportive team.
We are a level 2 Neonatal unit funded for 18 cots, 2 ITU, 4 HDU & 12 SCBU. Caring for premature babies from 27 weeks gestation and term babies requiring enhanced levels of care. We also have a level 1 SCBU on the Epsom site for babies from 34 weeks onward. This rare opportunity is open to paediatric and adult nurses as all successful candidates will undertake specialist neonatal specific training.

Main duties of the job
– Direct care for babies from 27 weeks onwards requiring thing such as short term ventilation, CPAP, phototherapy, invasive lines and feeding support.
-Work with families to empower them to become the primary carers and partners in care for their babies.
-Competent in administering drugs and utilising equipment.
