Job summary
Based in the lively Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea, home of Notting Hill Carnival, Chelsea Flower show, substantive history, lively communities and a key destination for international visitors, the health and social care services offer support to diverse populations across the borough.
Including people living in some of the nation’s most advantaged and deprived wards, we work closely with the Royal Borough or Kensington & Chelsea City Council in sustained joined-up health and social care services that put residents at their heart.
We are delighted to offer an opportunity to work in this exciting and historic borough for a motivated and innovative mental health nurse.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant may have contact with patients or service users. As an NHS Trust we strongly encourage and support vaccination as this remains the best way to protect yourself, your family, your colleagues and of course patients and service users when working on our healthcare settings.
This is an opportunity to bring your ideas as well as your experience to a dynamic multi disciplinary team. We’re currently transforming the way we deliver mental health services, putting even greater emphasis on the relationship between health and social care as well as partner services. Day to day, you’ll shape our offering around mental health service users, generating care and support plans, and identifying and addressing a range of needs. You’ll be backed by significant investments in the service that ensure it is well staffed and resourced. In CNWL you’ll receive a high level of input to your training and development, as well as exceptional support from your peers.
About us
You’ll be a qualified and registered nurse, with sound experience of working with adult users from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds, and a strong interest in mental health. You’ll be ready to work as part of a large and complex team delivering person-centred support. You’ll bring a wide range of skills and strategies to every situation and be able to apply them flexibly and creatively. Strong communication skills are key, and you’ll also be adept at coaching and mentoring others to help develop a strong and expert team.
In return, you can look forward to a rewarding job in a supportive team, the ability to use and develop your skills and professional identity as well as plenty of opportunities to take on unique growth and leadership roles
