An excellent, exciting new opportunity to be part of a new therapy led ward team. 

We are recruiting static band 6 Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists to join the Ward 38 Integrated Nursing and Therapy Led team at James Cook University Hospital.

The post holders will be expected to have experience in acute and/or community care, and have gained experience across a variety of specialities to help manage patients with various acute and long term conditions. 

The roles will support rehabilitation and holistic care as part of the ward establishment to enhance patient flow and effective discharge planning.

Staff may be required to relocate

The post holders will be expected to have experience in both acute and community care, and have gained experience across a variety of specialities to help manage patients with various acute and long term conditions. 

The role will support rehabilitation and holistic care as part of the ward establishment. 

Support and in-service training will be provided to develop your skills, knowledge and understanding of the role. This post offers development in clinical and leadership skills and the post holder will be supported to attend relevant post graduate courses. We have an established and comprehensive training programme. There is also an expectation to actively participate in audit and research and the Hospital has close links with both the University of Teesside and Durham University.

  • BSc or Diploma in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy
  • HCPC registration
  • Desirable criteria

  • Leadership and management course
  • Evidence of relevant post graduate courses at masters level
  • Knowledge & Skills

    Essential criteria

  • Knowledge of clinical governance and risk assessment/management
  • Understanding of NHS priorities, recent policies, discharge, frailty agenda etc.
  • Demonstrates clinical knowledge and skills relevant to role
