This is an exciting opportunity for a current band 2/3 to join the colorectal nursing team for a 9 month secondment to cover maternity leave. You will be responsible for teaching and supporting stoma patients in hospital and in stoma clinics and also be responsible for ordering stoma supplies and liaising with community support services.

Main duties of the job

Teach stoma care to patients who have had stoma surgery and where necessary teach there carers how to look after a stoma

Liaise with community stoma care nurses and other care agencies in order to offer continued support for patients with stomas

stock control

Participate in audit data and documentation relating to patients care

Taking phone calls and act upon them
