About the role:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a motivated Endoscopy Team Lead with experience in orthopaedics to join a highly reputable private hospital based on the outskirts of Basildon. The hospital is ideally situated close to the M25 with easily accessible transport links to London. The hospital has an excellent opportunity for a Theatre / Endoscopy Nurse to join our friendly team within their Endoscopy Department. The team are passionate about person centred care and put their patients at the heart of everything they do and looking for a like-minded Nurse to join them. The service provides expert care with a wide range of treatments such as Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, General Surgery, Vascular, Plastics, Gynae, Ophthalmology, Spinal, Urology and ENT; supported by some of the latest technology. The hospital has 3 recently refurbished theatres and a endoscopy unit.
Duties and responsibilities
You will be working as a Endoscopy Team Lead Nurse / ODP and will be responsible for the following;
Assess patients’ health and well-being across a complex and changing caseload
Assisting in the delivery of care to meet every individual patients needs
Providing knowledge and information, supporting colleagues with Endoscopy understanding
Providing the care provision within the Theatre Team in the operating department across a range of clinical specialities.
Provide and receive complex and sensitive information about patience needs and any associated risks.
Assessing, planning and delivering best practice at all times
Who we’re looking for
Be NMC / HCPC registered- your pin must not have any restrictions or conditions
Eligibility to live and work in the UK
Experience in within Endoscopy
At least 2 years working within Theaters
Have BLS and ideally ALS
Must have knowledge of JAG and CQC
Experience working in a busy environment using strong communication
Showing compassion and except patient care
A proven track record of carrying out a high stand of efficient patient care within the theatre
