The role will include:
To plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons
To assist children in class to make sure they are on track
To liaise with support staff to ensure smooth running of class
To support the general well being of the students
To monitor and evaluate learners learning
To enable learners to access the curriculum through a variety of techniques
To fully utilise Teaching Assistant with the classroom to support aspects of teaching and behaviour management
Requirements:
Qualified teacher status or equivalent is essential
Experience with KS3,4,5 curriculum is desired but not essential
Experience teaching learners with various learning difficulties is essential
A resilient and empathetic approach to working
Have an understanding of children with special needs
Be flexible in approach to education
Experience teaching in an SEN setting is ideal but not essential
