  • To plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons
  • To assist children in class to make sure they are on track
  • To liaise with support staff to ensure smooth running of class
  • To support the general well being of the students
  • To monitor and evaluate learners learning
  • To enable learners to access the curriculum through a variety of techniques
  • To fully utilise Teaching Assistant with the classroom to support aspects of teaching and behaviour management
  • Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher status or equivalent is essential
  • Experience with KS3,4,5 curriculum is desired but not essential
  • Experience teaching learners with various learning difficulties is essential
  • A resilient and empathetic approach to working
  • Have an understanding of children with special needs
  • Be flexible in approach to education
  • Experience teaching in an SEN setting is ideal but not essential
