TheWorcestershire Neighbourhood Mental Health Team are a busy, friendly, andsupportive community based mental health service who offer a variety oftherapeutic interventions. The service ethos is recovery driven, and we striveto deliver excellent evidenced based care. We are looking to recruit anOccupational Therapist within the team who can apply specialist knowledgeassessments and interventions. You will be shaping our services and ensuringthat ultimately our service users get expert care focused on recovery andindependence from an OT provision, whilst providing guidance and advice tocolleagues who are working with these individuals. There will be an expectationthat you will deliver groups and 1:1 interventions that incorporate both thetransformation ethos and occupationally focused skills that promote recoverythrough activity.

Thispost will be offered as a permanent a week Monday to Friday. We would consider applications for hours aweek over 3 days. This role will be based at Redditch, Hillcrest however, thesuccessful candidate will be required to work across the county.

Main duties of the job

You would be working as partof a well-established and supportive Occupational Therapy team. All our OTscomplete specific and Specialist Occupational Therapy Roles as part of the MDT.The role involves

  • Working with patients in the community with complex mental healthconditions through 1:1 and group interventions
  • Being part of an MDT that values and respects OT
  • Using your initiative and creative skills to support patients recoverygoals
  • Applying your knowledge of the Model of Human Occupation and otherspecialist assessments
  • Working flexibly toprovide the service delivery need across the county
  • Working autonomously tomanage your own case load
  • Supervising junior members of staff
  • Attending weekly MDT meetings,participate in professionals meetings, signpost to adjunct services dependingon patient need.
