Description

This Facilities Manager post is a fascinating role that will see you as the lynchpin that pulls together the helpdesk, admin function, maintenance operations and management information teams across several groups within this large Sheffield focused property owner.

Your role will be to primarily:

  • Review and standardise process processes and procedures within the organisation and distil the best to be spread throughout the organisation.
  • Manage a small team of staff across delivery and administration.
  • Review and evaluate the existing service provision, identify areas for change and continuous improvement, prioritising, planning and implementing accordingly in collaboration with other colleagues within the department, and to input and contribute towards strategic planning.
  • SLA / KPI development across all service delivery areas
  • To monitor the maintenance and testing regime to ensure statutory compliance
  • Overseeing the relevant ‘responsible person’ competencies as required.
  • Customer service liaison with internal stakeholders
  • Data collection, record management and asset data management (incorporating audit)
  • When applying for this Facilities Manager role it is essential that:

  • You are a degree holder within building services, building environmental or a construction discipline.
  • Possess knowledge and experience of developing process, policies, legislative requirements, audit, and application within a maintenance / service delivery environment.
  • Have excellent communication skills, including report writing skills coupled with experience of leading and motivating a mixed discipline team.
  • Demonstrable ability to keep a keen eye and spot shortfalls in maintenance or service delivery as well as how to address them.
  • The ability to think through to the next step; identify “if I do this, this will happen” results.
  • Be highly competent in the use of maintenance management software for example Planon, CAFMFX, Concept etc.
  • The role is for a contract period that is expected to be initially for six months while the contract is inside IR35 and will require working on site in Sheffield; due to the amount of liaison required with different parties across multiple sites it is not suitable to be purely remote working.

The company is ideally looking for someone who is happy to work on a freelance basis but ideally looking for a staff role.

The idea is to give you and them the chance to get to know each other, ensure that the culture fit is good and confirm that everything is right for the role before you both commit to each other for the longer term.

The salary point for the role is £ plus a brilliant package including enhanced pension and holidays, flexitime, hybrid working and the benefit of working for an end user rather than being with a contractor or consultancy.
