About the role

We are looking for a leader with ambition, passion, and commitment – ideal candidates will: 

  • Be a very experienced teacher who understands what excellent learning looks like and has a deep pedagogical understanding of successful strategies used to overcome barriers 
  • Have a tangible belief in inclusivity and the fact that all children can be supported to be successful
  • Have strong leadership experience as a SENCO or Inclusion leader
  • Have skills to inspire and the experience of challenging, developing, and motivating ambitious inclusive provision 
  • Have strong academic and pastoral skills, with a proven track record of successful engagement with families and professionals
  • Understand recent and pending changes in education, particularly relating to SEND
  • Be an excellent communicator and team player, with the ability to lead, motivate, and support
  • Be innovative, forward thinking, and creative with boundless energy, optimism, and enthusiasm 
  • Be able to play a crucial role in developing, managing, and leading the Inclusion Team, under the guidance of the Deputy Headteacher
