Historic Royal Palaces (HRP) is a team of people who love and look after six of the most wonderful palaces in the world, namely HM Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, Kensington Palace, Kew Palace, Hillsborough Castle and Gardens and the Banqueting House, plus our Retail warehouse in Croydon, Collections store in Thames Ditton and the Vaults on Tower Hill.

HRP requires a Property Management professional with strong contract drafting and landlord and tenant act knowledge to advise and support colleagues at all levels on all aspects of property related matters across the HRP estate and a varied portfolio.

This is an opportunity for a determined and driven individual to make a mark and develop our approach to this area in terms of our management internally and with our third party partners, tenants, licensees and stakeholders.

This role is a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of HRP as we continue to bounce back from the effects of the global pandemic, and ensure our commercial interests and potential within the property area are realised.

The variety of work is wide ranging from negotiating property leases, simpler accommodation licences, advising on tenant and disputes, ensuring premises licences are in place / renewed, developing a stakeholder management plan and business rates advice to name but a few areas.

Within HRP you will report to the Head of Procurement & Contracts and be responsible for the management and development of our Apprentice Property Management Surveyor, though the role will require liaison with a wide variety of colleagues across the business at all levels, including the Executive Board and Board of Trustees.

  • About you

    Strong planning skills, stakeholder management, commercial awareness and a flexible approach to ensure all procurement and contracting activity goes smoothly and achieves value for money will be needed.

    You will have the opportunity to work flexibly (to include a measure of home working and Hampton Court Palace or HM Tower of London as a base) and as a result need to be able work self-sufficiently.

    You will need to be MRICS qualified with a proven track record in this field.

    Salary: circa £52,000 – £59,000 depending on experience
