We are recruiting for a Deputy Nurse Team Leader who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the senior nursing team on the Inpatient and Palliative Care care ward at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre. The 22 bedded unit supports patients receiving treatments for their cancer through administration of chemotherapy, management of side effects and palliative and end of life care.

ENHT is seeking to maintain and expand the Mount Vernon Cancer Centre staff as we move to an exciting new future.

In addition, you will receive a High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of your basic salary, subject to a minimum payment of £4,108 and a maximum payment of £5,177per annum pro rata.

Main duties of the job

As the deputy nurse team manager you will support the nurse team manager in leading the nursing team on the inpatient ward and ambulatory bay in delivering safe, high quality patient care for all patients and families receiving cancer treatment. You will be actively involved in the daily ward staffing, budget and use of resources, optimising service delivery and ward efficiency and to deputies in the nurse team manager absence. As a experienced nurse and role model, you will demonstrate clinical expertise and excellent communication skills that promote evidence based practice, team work and a positive clinical learning environment
