Career Teachers are working with an outstanding college in the L6 area of Liverpool, who are looking to appoint an additional learning needs teaching assistant with an immediate start.

This beautiful special provision has the use of many resources, large outdoor areas, and therapy pets. While it is a challenging role, it is also one of the most rewarding. The students work to a bespoke curriculum and celebrate the milestone developments.

The school is situated close to public transport links and free parking is available. Senior leaders are very supportive and additional training may be available to enhance skills and knowledge further.

The role of Additional Learning Needs (ALN) Teaching Assistant will vary from supporting in the classroom environment and supporting students in small groups or on a one-to-one basis. This will all be done along side the guidance of the class teacher.

To be successful in this post you must:

  • Have previous experience of supporting students with SEND (Special Educational Needs Disabilities)
  • Be emphatic, caring, and adaptable
  • Have a calm, and proactive attitude

Experience in an education setting is not essential but supporting young people in another capacity is a must.

The role requires you to work full time, Monday to Friday 8.30am-3.30pmand is a long-term post.
