An exciting opportunity has arisen for a pivotal role within Reach Out Lead Provider Collaborative, central leadership team. The role will be to support the Associate Director in leading, developing and managing adult secure care commissioning function to ensure all commissioned services are providing high quality care and patient outcomes.

Reach Out is the West Midland Secure Provider Collaborative and the commissioner of Specialised Mental Health Services across the region for adult (medium and low) inpatient services for mental illness and learning disabilities and specialist community forensic teams for mental illness.

The collaborative is made up of 5 partners; Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (BSMHFT) as Lead Provider, Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (MPFT) and St Andrews Health Care for mental health as well as Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust (CWPT) lead partner for LDA services and Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

Main duties of the job

  • Play an active role as part of the Collaborative’s senior leadership team working in partnership with Clinical Programmes Director, Reach Out Nurse Consultant, Reach Out Quality Governance Lead, Collaborative’s senior clinical and operational directors, and the commissioning support services to deliver the Collaborative’s outcomes. The role will support the Collaborative in achieving its vision and outcomes through effective planning, commissioning and reporting and management.
  • Support the Associate Director in leading, developing and managing adult secure care commissioning approach working as part of the Reach Out Lead Provider Collaborative. The post holder will ensure that the commissioning intentions are clearly defined and aligned to the Business Case/Plan and ensure services commissioned contribute to West Midlands outcomes.
  • Oversee compliance and governance and report on delivery of outcomes to stakeholders including the Collaborative’s and Lead Provider’s Groups and Committees and NHS England Specialised Commissioning.
