This vacancy is for a Personal (Care) Assistant
Home Care Direct are industry-leading specialists in personalisation. We help a wide variety of people to take control over their care at home using personal budgets, personal health budgets, direct payments or their own funding.
Vacancy Summary:
We are looking for 2 personal care assistants in the Leicester area to work on a rolling rota basis. The hours are as follows:
Week 1:
Monday 5pm to 10pm
Friday 5pm to 10pm
Saturday 9.30am to 5pm
Sunday 9.30am to 5pm
Week 2:
Monday 10pm to 7am
Friday 5pm to 7am
Saturday 9pm to 7am
About me:
I am a pleasant lady in my late 50s who has spasms and other medical conditions affecting my energy levels each day. I am able to walk, talk and communicate my needs. I am continent and only minor help will be needed with my personal care. I do not pose any behaviours that challenge.
I enjoy cooking and eating healthy but will need some assistance with this. I enjoy the occasional trip out to the theatre, cinema or music event which you can attend with me.
What support I need:
You will need to help me attend my physiotherapy sessions and to go shopping with me. I can drive my own car but, on some occasions, you will need to drive the vehicle.
I am seeking a committed health care worker to help me to feel safe and happy inside and outside my house.
About you and our requirements:
You will need to be committed to the care of others, be reliable and compassionate.
Experience in health and social care desirable but not essential as full training will be given specific to client needs.
You need to be over 21 years old with a full clean driving licence so you can drive the client’s car if needed.
This post is exempt under The Equality Act 2010 Schedule 9 Part 1 – there is a genuine occupational requirement to recruit female support workers only.
An enhanced DBS disclosure is required for this vacancy (expense met by HomeCareDirect)
