(Band Coach)

Full Time Hours: Monday – Friday
Starting Salary: Starting salary: £22,500pa with a potential to earn £27,000pa
Plus monthly fuel contributions
Holiday: 10 weeks fully paid holiday
This role requires the applicant to be a UK national or be resident in the UK with a right to work visa already in place.

Job Role

As a band coach you will be inspiring pupils every day through our incredible pop & rock band sessions. See first-hand how music can have such a positive impact on young people. Equipped with all of the instruments, you are visiting a maximum of 2 schools per day. We are looking for individuals with a positive attitude, no teaching experience needed. If you think your next career move is with iRock we would love to hear from you!

The Role

  • Deliver rock and pop band sessions to groups of children in up to 10 primary schools per week
  • Teach young people aged 4-11 how to play drums, keyboard, guitar or vocals 
  • Build strong relationships with parents and schools
  • Help pupils deliver their first live performances in front of an audience
  • Small number of administrative duties (30 minutes per day)
  • Working to the RSL structure providing Rock School certificates to our students
  • Be part of a team running band camps at the beginning of the summer holiday

Requirements

  • Be able to play Drums, Keyboard, Guitar and Vocals 
  • Have a good all-round musical knowledge
  • Hold a valid driving licence and access to own car (essential)
  • Strong organisation and IT skills
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise own workload
  • Be a confident individual who is passionate about music
  • Be able to build positive relationships with adults and children
