An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 6 secondment on ward 22 Short stay surgical ward. This ward takes many different specialities within the surgical group and will allow for development in the care of a variety of surgical interventions. This is an opportunity for an individual to develop their leadership skills and work as a team leader.

Main duties of the job

Accountable for own actions in accordance with the Code of Professional Conduct. Will contribute to corporate objectives, acting within local, Trust and statutory guidelines and policies at all times.

Effectively communicate information regarding clinical decisions, policy and care pathways to patients/carers and the multi-professional team including situations where difficulties in comprehension occur.

A skilled practitioner and clinical leader providing support to the management team, participating in service/policy development.
