Vision for Education
A village school in Hull is seeking to appoint an Early Years Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting the academic and social development of children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). This is a full-time, permanent position starting in September 2023.
About the role
As the Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the EYFS team to support the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning that meets the needs of all children in the EYFS. You will work with individuals and groups of children, providing support and challenge to ensure that all children are making good progress. You will also be responsible for leading interventions, monitoring child progress, and supporting teachers with planning and assessment.

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Early Years Teaching Assistant you will:
Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
Experience working as a Teaching Assistant in an EYFS setting
A good understanding of the EYFS curriculum and assessment requirements
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
A positive and proactive attitude towards professional development
A commitment to promoting positive values and attitudes in the classroom
The ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality teaching and learning.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
Key responsibilities
As Early Years Teaching Assistant you will be responsible for:
Supporting teachers in delivering high-quality teaching and learning that meets the needs of all children in the EYFS.
Leading interventions and supporting children to make good progress.
Monitoring and tracking child progress, and providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.
Supporting teachers with planning, assessment, and the preparation of resources and materials.
Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes positive values and attitudes.
Promoting positive behaviour management strategies in line with the school’s policies and procedures.
Participating in staff meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice and keep up-to-date with curriculum changes.
Upholding the school’s policies and procedures, including safeguarding, health and safety, and behaviour management.
Supporting the school’s values and ethos, and fostering positive relationships with children, colleagues, parents, and carers.
Maintaining accurate records of child progress and achievement, and ensuring that they are up-to-date and readily available.
