An exciting opportunity has become available for a fully qualified accountant to be a part of a well-established media company based in Manchester. This is a brand new pillar within the finance team and a really exciting opportunity for an experienced accountant to work for an iconic brand.
In this role you will be responsible for the successful design, implementation and continuous improvement of standardised global processes; highly automated and efficient processes to successfully deliver improved cost savings while enabling greater analysis and insight to drive business performance.
Focussed particularly within FP&A, you will form part of a cross-functional team that will deliver improvements in an agile way.
Main duties
Full ownership for the successful design, implementation, and continuous improvement of Global RTR processes that comply to regulatory and statutory requirements in all relevant jurisdictions and ensures the integrity of financial data.
Own and maintain process documentation.
Responsible for creating smoothly functioning global processes.
Represent the RTR process in all business-led system projects where there is finance process change impacts.
Works with the Head of Continuous Improvement to align process design and operating model.
Provide expert advice on the system and process implications of change.
Provide proposals for process improvement based on knowledge of third-party capability.
Ensure system changes are appropriately tested and verified before implementation into a live environment.
Responsible for business related policies and procedures, including decision making authority for sign-off.
Ensure best in class controls are embedded as part of the end-to-end process design.
Review and enhance governance and controls.
Identify process efficiency opportunities and recommend a programme of continuous improvement.
Determine training needs and input into the training content in conjunction with the Change team.
Leads and delivers training into the business.
Develop and embed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across the process.
Analysis of KPIs to drive process change where relevant.
Profile
ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified.
RTR Process experience
Experience working within SOX or similar regulatory environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
