We have new funding for these posts to co-ordinate one of our four Zones (areas) of the city. We are looking for SLTs who have a broad range of experience with children with SLCN, experience of working with school age children and excellent organisational skills. You will have experience of working in mainstream schools and liaising closely with the wider MDT in education along with good IT skills.
Main duties of the job
This is a senior post with clinical responsibility to develop the service to support the smooth running of a designated Zone within the School Age Team in Wolverhampton in conjunction with the School Age Team Leads and the Head of Service for Children. The postholder will provide oversight of the caseload management of the named Zone and ensure that information recorded is accurate, liaising with individual Speech and Language Therapists and Speech and Language Support Practitioners as necessary
The post holder will have responsibility in conjunction with the Team Leads to ensure that the schools are allocated to individuals appropriately, including their own schools within the Zone.
The post holder will work in a community base and across schools and settings in Wolverhampton.
The post holder will be a member of the multidisciplinary team.

- Work closely with the Team Leaders to develop and deliver services to children who are attending mainstream schools in Wolverhampton.
- Along with other Zone Leads and Team Leads, lead on sharing up to date information around caseload data
- Work collaboratively with the Team Leads and other Zone Leads to ensure an equitable service across Wolverhampton is maintained
- Contribute to the induction, mentoring and support of other less experienced staff
- To use the Trust values at all times as a framework for own behaviour and encourage others to do likewise, ensuring the values underpin all that is done
