The Role

Due to an internal move, an opportunity has arisen for a Senior QC Scientist to join our Quality Control (QC) department. The position is responsible for carrying out analytical testing aspects to support method transfer, formulation development and process transfer. This will include reviewing and approving analytical testing protocols, reports and laboratory write ups.

Key Tasks:

  • As part of a team, you will be involved with the completion of in-vitro and analytical testing (eg. Dissolution, PSD testing) to make deadlines. 
  • Prepare and carry out HPLC, UV, Dissolution sample analysis
  • Be equipped to complete laboratory write ups
  • Familiar with the preparation of SOPs and drug product specifications
  • Reviewing analytical testing protocols and reports
  • Carry out training for new and existing staff
  • Completion of LIRs and QEs as appropriate
  • Data entry to support IMPD submissions
  • Work with due regard to health and safety of self and others
  • Work flexibly across the site to meet business needs.

    • Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Minimum HNC/D qualification in Chemistry
  • Some work experience required in a Quality Control environment
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Where necessary full training will be provided.
