Job Title: Finance Manager

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full time (36.25 hours), Monday to Friday (Flexible start and finish times)

Location: Shirley

Salary: £35,000 – £55,000 depending on experience

Our client based in Shirley has an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager to join them as soon as possible. The successful candidate will have experience of managing a team within a larger scaled business. This is a varied role and ideally the client would like a qualified accountant.

Duties include:

  • Preparing month end board report pack including profit and loss, cash flows, debt management and work flows
  • Monitoring and reporting of short term cash flows
  • Preparation of monthly payroll and associated reporting to HMRC
  • Managing and processing of complex and confidential transactions
  • Supervising finance team of 5
  • Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns
  • Assisting with the preparation of year end accounts
  • Management of intercompany accounts and transactions

Skills and experience required:

  • Ideal candidate to be a qualified accountant or in later stages of working towards this
  • Minimum of 4-5 years experience in a professional office environment
  • Proficient using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft packages
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Supervisory experience
  • Use of Opera and Rapport is desirable
