We have a permanent opportunity available within Norfolk and Suffolk Constabulary as a Workplace Health Nurse Advisor. This role is ideal for someone with a wealth of Occupational Health experience and considers themselves to be approachable, conscientious and an advocate for good physical and mental health.

Role: Workplace Health Nurse Advisor

Location: The Constabulary Workplace Health Nurse Advisors are home based for the majority of the time but there is the occasional requirement for office based working. 100% office based can be accommodated. Office locations are: Norfolk Police HQ (Wymondham) or/and Capel St.Mary Police Station (Ipswich)

Salary: £35,223 – £39,942 per annum (Band F)

Shift Patterns: Full time, 37 hours per week. Mon-Fri, standard office hours

Start: Dependent upon the passing of Police vetting checks

Responsibilities:

  • Promoting workplace Health and Well being
  • Undertaking Workplace assessments
  • Advising employees of Norfolk and Suffolk Constabulary on physical and mental health problems
  • Maintaining high standards of Occupational Health care
  • Carrying out Case management
  • Participating in the delivery of Hepatitis B immunisations
  • Essential requirements:

  • Driving licence and use of a car
  • Occupational Health National Diploma/Degree
  • Significant post registration general nursing experience
  • Proven experience within an Occupational Health environment
  • Clinical skills: audiometry, spirometry, immunisations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • IT literacy, especially with MS Office
  • Ability and willingness to travel to Norfolk and Suffolk sites upon request (if required)
  • Desirable requirements:

  • Knowledge of Occupational Health within a Policing environment
  • Experience of health promotion activity
  • Knowledge and experience around the OPAS OH Health System
