Children’s Physiotherapist, Rotational – Band 6

Are you looking for an exciting and fulfilling opportunity to work as a Children’s Physiotherapist in a supportive community team, with a mixed caseload…. then this may be perfect for are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Children’s Physiotherapist to join our team to support children with a variety of needs including musculoskeletal, neurology, neuromuscular and developmental delay in this rewarding and fun role. We are happy to consider a physiotherapist who hasn’t specialised in children yet but has a keen interest in developing in this area. We regularly support students and have a fantastic support network to facilitate your learning and development throughout the post is a rotational post between two roles. One post is working with developmental Ax, neurological and other physical disabilities and the other role is within the Musculoskeletal childrens specific is a permanent position based in our purpose built Children’s development centre, Addiscombe, Croydon, South London. You will be part of a dynamic, friendly physiotherapy and multi-disciplinary team, seeing children and young people with a wide variety of conditions within a variety of settings including schools and pre-schools, within the home and outpatients clinic.

Main duties of the job

A successful rotation has been developed in Children’s Physiotherapy in Croydon, we are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated physiotherapist who wishes to further their paediatric skills.

With a mix of community and a musculoskeletal rotation It enables you to gain experience working with children from different 0-19 and wide variety of impairment and function. Working in schools, homes and clinics within the experienced community team with a proactive ethos to learning new skills and developing, nurturing future staff including time with our specialist neonatal physiotherapist .

We are committed to working as an integrated team, within health, education, social care and others working with the child and family. We will offer you support to develop into the role through, regular clinical supervision and joint working, in-service training, away days, regular management supervision linked to appraisals and identifying learning / training needs with opportunities for Continued Professional Development.

We are ideally located in the south of London, with excellent links to central London (15-20 min to Victoria and London bridge Train stations) but also the countryside including Box Hill . With so many activities, events and places to go, you’ll be able to strike the work/life balance you are looking for.
