Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an MDT Co-ordinator to support monitoring of cancer waiting times gargets and administration of the weekly MDT meetings.

Applicants should have a good standard of education, keyboard skills and knowledge of MS office, powerpoint, excel and outlook. Experience working in the NHS and using PAS and Somerset Cancer Register systems is also required. Ideally you should have knowledge of orthopaedic and oncology terminology and an understanding of National cancer waiting time targets.

Applicants should be able to work within a team, able to prioritise work on own initiative and have excellent organisational and communication skills. You will also ensure a consistent and effective cancer administration service is maintained at all times. Knowledge of the Trust’s electronic systems would be an advantage but not essential as training will be given.

The post holder will work closely within the MDT team of four to ensure the departments MDT meetings are prepped and populated, actioned and patients are tracked according to national cancer waiting times.

Working with staff at all levels within the organisation and outside organisations/Trusts to promote effective communication and follow a process that enhances the patient’s experience and achieves national targets.? To ensure all patients are discussed at the MDT meeting along with all appropriate investigations are available in a timely fashion to ensure cancer waiting time targets are adhered to.? To collect and enter data onto Oncology database and Somerset Cancer Register.
