An exciting opportunity has arisen at St Bartholomew’s Hospital for band 5 cardiology rotation nurses. We are looking for innovative, forward-thinking individuals to join our dynamic cardiology team, as part of an 18 month rotation programme.

Our rotation programme is the ideal opportunity for nurses who are looking to further develop their cardiac and leadership skills. You will gain exceptional all-round cardiology experience across a range of clinical settings and have the opportunity to gain an unparalleled insight into the journey and management of cardiology patients. We are seeking nurses who are compassionate and motivated to deliver high quality care to our complex group of patients.

Main duties of the job

You will enjoy working in varied fast-paced environments, developing an understanding of acute nursing and be a team player. You will provide holistic care to patients and families, and advocate for their best interests at all times. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential. You will be adaptable and be capable to build professional working relationships with the teams in each clinical area. You will be committed to developing and maintaining your competence in clinical skills alongside support from the Education Team. Your professional development will be continuous, and you will use self-refection and feedback in order to identify personal actions for improvement. You will work towards being active in link nurse roles in order to share learning and drive forward improvement for the whole team. You will continue to develop your leadership skills to work towards becoming an experienced member of our nursing team and role model to junior staff and students.
