The Health & Safety Managerrole isan exciting opportunity to join an established ComplianceDepartment. The role holds significant responsibility for leading the team andproviding specialist Health, Safety & Fire guidance.
TheHealth & Safety Manager will build on the current management system andwork closely with the Head of Operations & Compliance and OperationsDirectorto manage risk,develop Health & Safety standards andimplement best practice.
You will work closely with theSenior team and provide proactive support and specialist H&S advice. BFSare a close-knit team that put a strong emphasis on the development of staff,backed up by the ability to transition into various other category specialisms.

Previous exposure to a large and complex organisation would be essential
Report writing, presentation and evaluation skills wouldalso be a requirement
Strong communicator, stakeholder manager and team player
A strong desire to learn and progress is essential

Main duties of the job
Joining the high energy focused team, the role holder’s duties will include:
Work closely with the Head of Operations & Compliance and the Operational Director to manage risk, develop Health &Safety standards and implement best practice
Ensuring CoSHH manuals, risk assessments, fire safety andcompliance documents are relevant and up to date
Report to senior team, any implications of current andemerging Health & Safety legislation along with evaluating suitableoptions, making recommendations and producing actions plans, ensuringcompliance across the organisation and contracts
To ensure that fire safety duties are deliveredconsistently through all areas by competent staff and that adequatefire-fighting equipment
Carrying out audits to evaluate the effectiveness ofhealth & safety systems and procedures.
To identify with managers where improvements are requiredand agree action plans and timescales
