Finance Director

Base to £130,000 plus bonus and stock options

My client is a fast-growing renewable energy consulting group based in London. They are looking to hire a new Finance Director to support the CEO, sit on the executive board and be a statutory director of all group companies. You will have a key leadership role to play in the strategic management with full responsibility for all back-office functions including finance, insurance, HR, IT and governance.

Own the annual business planning process, collaborating with the executive team to identify and model strategic plans, cascading down into operational departmental budgets.

Production of forecasting, planning and budgeting

Analysis of group, entity, department, project, service and product profitability and commercial performance

Promptly producing monthly management accounts (including financial & non-financial KPIs)

Manage payroll.

Management of tax reporting, compliance and financial structuring

Recruit and manage an account assistant.

Management of external advisers on tax, audit, insurance, HR and IT

Ensure all capital investment is adequately appraised through appropriate methodologies.

Ensure appropriate policies across finance, HR and IT are in place and operational, creating a strong corporate governance environment.

Help prepare the business for investment rounds as growth requires and exit.

To be considered for the exciting Finance Director for a leading green energy consulting group, you should ideally possess an ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification with at least 5 year’s post-qualification experience. SME background, strong project accounting, M&A or capital raising experience, knowledge of Xero software and have managed HR and IT. A genuine interest in the environment and combating climate change is beneficial.
