Simply Education are working closely with a specialist provision in Leicestershire (LE1) where the children’s primary needs are SEMH (social, emotional and mental health) so consistency and good behaviour management is essential for this job role.

The school are seeking qualified teaching assistants or learning support assistants to help support the primary and secondary aged students within the school with self regulation of their emotions, managing behaviours, engagement in lessons/tasks and building relationships with peers.

As a learning support assistant is an essential role to education settings as you will be supporting the child holistically as well as ensuring that the young pupils’ can help regulate their feelings and emotions, especially as the young pupils’ may be suffering with anxiety or depression.

The right candidate will:

– Be able to work from April or May 2023

– Have had experience within school settings

– Have a good understanding of children with SEND

– Be patient, empathetic and understanding

– Build good rapport with children and colleagues
