Main duties of the job

Being a Nurse at Marie Curie is incredibly rewarding on so many levels. For starters, we offer you high staffing ratios, which means less time on paperwork and more time with a Marie Curie Nurse, you will provide high quality nursing care and participate in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the care needs for the patient group in a palliative care settinghelping people to live their final days with dignity.

Job responsibilities

Youll be part of a supportive team that truly cares about you and your development. Using a patient-centred approach and evidenced based practice, assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care and co-ordinate care from admission to discharge. You will be expected to administer medication and treatment as prescribed in accordance with the NMCs and the Charitys policies and guidelines. You will also provide emotional, psychological and spiritual support for patients and carers.

What we are looking for:

  • RGN level 1 registration
  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of palliative care and the needs of patients with complex symptoms as well as at end of life
  • Forward thinking with excellent communication skills
