Job summary
Due to the evolving and changing needs of our services, an exciting opportunity has arisen in adult learning disability short term care services for a Qualified Nursing Associate.
Adult respite services are based at Unit 2 Bankfields Court and Aysgarth, Durham Rd, we deliver short term care to adult who have learning and physical disabilities with associated complex health needs across the Teesside locality. The team is made up of registered learning disability nurses and health care assistants, we are looking for a motivated, compassionate and dynamic nursing associate to join the team.
Main duties of the job
As part of the respite team, you will contribute to ensuring high quality care is delivered and maintained to those individuals accessing short term care services. Your role will involve the inclusion of the assessment, delivery and evaluation of nursing care to adults with learning disabilities who have associated complex health needs and / or autism.
The successful candidate will work as part of the nursing team to deliver holistic, person centred care within the respite environment. Your role will also involve working collaboratively with allied health professionals and PMLD residential and day services.
The ideal candidate will ideally have relevant experience working within services for adults with Learning Disabilities, preferably with experience in delivering care in PMLD and complex health needs. We are looking for someone who will enjoy a challenge, remains calm under pressure and with the motivation and enthusiasm to make a difference to individuals accessing respite services.
