Come and join our team of Acute Medicine Consultants within NHS Ayrshire and Arran. Ayrshire is a wonderful location to live and work with beautiful islands and beaches yet still an easy distance to Glasgow City and surrounding areas. We have world class outdoor pursuits on our doorstep and excellent local schools. 

The successful applicant would work 5 days per week 08:30-17:30 hours. A team of 3 physicians (mixture of AIM and GIM physicians depending on the site) carry out post-take ward rounds each morning. Afternoons are dedicated to the continuous assessment of new acute attendances, alongside an AIM Consultant colleague who runs RAC (Rapid Assessment and Care unit). The successful applicant will also support and supervise medical trainees and ANPs including the DVT service as and when required. Time would be provided pro-rata for admin (1 hour/8 hours clinical) in weekly rota.

Out of hours commitment can also be considered for evening (5-8pm CAU consultant ward rounds) and weekends in line with the AIM consultant pattern please contact @, or @to enquire. For other queries about the unit or the post requirements please contact us also.
