Job summary
NHS Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Integrated Care Boards (ICB) Information Governance (IG) Team is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Information Governance Support Manager with the ability to display high levels of initiative and work under pressure individually and as part of the team.
The successful candidate will hold a fundamental role within the IG Team and be responsible for managing a large volume of work with excellent attention to detail and an aptitude for IT software and packages (especially Excel, Word and Outlook).
The position involves a wide range of duties that include supporting the Information Governance Manager with the annual IG Workplan to ensure the ICBs compliance with Information Governance requirements including Data Protection legislation, annual Data Security and Protection (DSP) Toolkit requirements, statutory obligation, and national policy. The role requires excellent communication, organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet given deadlines and prioritise workload effectively.
The position is responsible for the day-to-day supervision, appraisal, personal development, work performance allocation and progress of the Information Governance Administrator.

Main duties of the job
The Information Governance Support Manager will work closely with the Information Governance Manager and Information Governance Lead/DPO to ensure that local and national Data Protection requirements are met. The role requires responsibility for the capturing and analysing of information from the following work streams for governance scrutiny:

Support to the ICBs annual Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT) submission.

Review of the developments to the Data Security Awareness Training as part of the annual mandatory requirement for all ICB staff.

Review of Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).

Support to the Information Governance (IG), Business Intelligence (BI) and Information Communications and Technology (ICT) Steering Group.

Support to the IG Manager for the development and review of Information Governance Policies, Plans and Strategy.

Support for the management of IG incidents and associated risks.

Support Primary Care (GP Practices) by providing IG and Data Protection advice and guidance.
