WARD MANAGER – 6 MONTHS FIXED TERM OR SECONDMENT We have an exciting opportunity for a forward thinking, experienced and highly motivated ward manager to lead and manage a medical ward. If you are interested to further develop your clinical and leadership skills, and ready to engage in service development, this post could be for you. C3 is a 24 bedded general medical ward. It is a well established ward caring for patients age 18 and over with both complex medical and social needs. We have a fantastic multi-disciplinary team who all help us provide quality patient centered care. The successful candidate will be expected to be committed to continuously developing professional skills and a desire to maintain and role model a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Main duties of the job

The expectations within this job description will be met through professional leadership, clinical management, hands on clinical practice, education and training, and research.

The post holder will ensure that high quality nursing care is delivered within their designated clinical area.

The post holder will assist in setting the standards of clinical practice, in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team, and will monitor patient outcomes.

The post holder will have ongoing responsibility for the operational effectiveness of their designated clinical area, being present in their clinical area, in conjunction with the Clinical Matron.
