Support Worker.

We’re looking for a kind, compassionate and resilient Support Worker to join our Hammersmith & Fulham service in London. No personal care or experience is required, just the right values.

£23,019.36 per annum with average potential earnings of over £25,300 per annum, working 40 hours per week. Benefits include 25 days Annual Leave, pension schemes, staff discounts, healthcare and career progression.

*Potential average earnings are a culmination of base salary of £23,019.36/£20,592 and colleagues working average of 17 additional hours overtime in own or other services per month*

We’re looking for Support Workers within Hammersmith & Fulham Mental Health Service support customers to help them to develop life skills and increase independence. A wide range of co-produced activities take place across the service, designed to empower, and improve the daily living skills of customers. Support Workers in the service work across all 4 projects; working with customers with varying levels of support needs. Many of the customers have complex needs including dual diagnosis and support workers are expected to liaise with other agencies within the borough to best support customers.

What you’ll do:

– If a need arises, deliver all aspects of support to enable a customer to develop independent living skills as appropriate to the individual needs of the customer
– Support customers to maintain their tenancies

What you’ll bring:

Essential:

– NVQ Level 2 or equivalent or experience within charity/social care sector

– Challenging situations- Anti-social behaviour

– Understanding and empathy with client group. Drug users and Alcoholics

Desirable:

– Degree

– Experience with complex needs 1 years- MH and Complex. Adults- would accept young people MH experience.
