Working alongside the Network Architect, you will be part of a multi discipline skilled Technical Architecture and infrastructure team, consisting of staff from those areas of networking, server, and end user architecture/CX. You will engage with and provide network advice to the team/colleagues, and when required, the wider department including the Digital Services senior management team.

Network best practice and deployment of new technology is a large part of the role. You will be the provider of expert advice when needed where network configuration is required.

You will be required to work on and cover a variety of network technologies, advancing the Trusts mainly Cisco healthcare network. Other preferable skills and activities will be on the Trusts Aruba and Fortinet technologies. WAN, LAN and wifi expert knowledge is key for the role.

Main duties of the job

Reporting to the Technical Architecture Manager, you will be joining a newly formed team that assists the main Server, Network, Device and Telephony implementation teams to push out projects, applications and improvements across the Trusts infrastructure.

You will work alongside the Network Technical Architect to design and implement both the strategical forward plan and advise and influence upgrade infrastructure projects, products, tooling and budget. With a focus on clinical digital delivery of new technology, outcome objectives being the positive impact of performance of the network and devices. Also to assist other teams for digital delivery including interaction with PMO for the delivery of project objectives and Dev-ops when required.

You will be part of and help form the future investment plans for the Trusts multi site networking, refresh schedules and procurement processes and recommendations.
