Main duties of the job
This is a brand new exciting role working as a technician within our Community Nursing Networks. It is fantastic opportunity for three dedicated, enthusiastic, self-motivated pharmacy technicians to join our supportive and friendly Medicines Support Team.
The post-holder will work alongside community nurses, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and other health care professionals to support and deliver effective medicines optimisation within the community and providing care to individuals in their own homes.
This includes:
- triaging medicines referrals
- establishing care plans
- securing medicines supply
- attending safety huddles and multidisciplinary team meetings
- providing advice on medicines usage
- delivering education
- maximising patients independence with medicines.
The successful candidate will be a registered pharmacy technician who demonstrates an excellent knowledge and understanding of medicines optimisation, safety, legislation and best practice and be able to apply these in a community setting. They will have outstanding interpersonal skills and demonstrate the ability to communicate with a range of colleagues and health care professionals.
